I use this when I am on the phone to jot notes or numbers appointments etc. After the call I transfer the info to calendars or wherever appropriate. One press of the button and I am ready to go again.
This is so neat to take notes on during phone conversation or to write down codes to verify identity. Once your done with the info erase it and ready to use again and again and again!
Loved the quality and feel of the doodle boards which I bought for my great nephews. One uses his left hand to write and it was awkward holding the pen with the connection on the right. It would be great if there were another pen connection on the left side as the pen can already be removed so it would be easily interchangeable.
I bought this for my 4-year-old granddaughter. It wasn't as bright as I expected and she had a hard time seeing the outline under the screen. It took her awhile to learn to use it.
Great for at work jotting down a name or number. I work in healthcare so I can easily erase for confidentiality. Eliminates paper / shredding. Purchased for work friends actually used as their gift labels at holidays . Also great for kitchen where I can never find a piece of paper.
I love that it is a fun writing board with no mess like dry erase boards. It’s perfect for the office door to relay my location when I’m out or in a different location.
This is a pretty handy little gadget and it works as it claims however I was a bit disappointed when I realized there is no light on the screen...won't be able to see it in the dark!
As a teacher I use hundreds of sticky notes. These are a game changer! No more pads of post its. My students love them too. They like to ask me how to spell something so I will write it on the versanotes. They think it's magic when I erase them. Absolutely LOVE them! I've given them as gifts to all my teacher friends.
I am really enjoying this at work. I have way too many sticky notes and this is helping me cut down on the wasted paper. However I hate there is no way to save screens and switch back and forth. But I think I like it enough to grab a second one for work.
Got two of these for my wife's and my anniversary from a friend. New in the package. First time we used them the screen did not clear. Does not work. Don't want to insult my friend by asking him to take them back but they are just garbage. Both of them. These need to be replaced.
I thought these looked really cool so I put them on my wish list. They are not worth the hype. The ink bleeds over time and becomes illegible; pressing your hand on the paper leaves a smudge and just sitting on a desk there are weird ghost marks.
I purchased and used a Boogie Board with my friend who had ALS. I then purchased another Boogie Board for my grandson who turned 5. He was thrilled to be able to draw something erase it at the push of a button and draw some more.
This product is terrible and a waste of $. I purchased it at Walmart and have barely used it maybe twice and already cannot erase and reuse. Very disappointed as it was not cheap.
What are you waiting for? Go get you a boogie board or a few! Seriously though…..I have been a user of Boogie Board the last 10 years! So I was a youngin’ and was losing my hearing. Found out the reason was because I have a condition called NEUROFIBROMATOSIS TYPE 2 that cause tumors to form inside the body anywhere. Mine started on the hearing nerves and brain. 4 to be exact. So another person with NF2 is the one that got me hip to Boggie Board. Boogie Board has been a life saver for me in a lot of interactions and when I say let me get my Boogie Board for you to write on people automatically think of a Boogie Board you find at the ocean. Then I break out this writing tablet and they are impressed - even doctors or hospital settings or even the police! I took 4 of the Jots with me when it was time for brain surgery #2 that made me 100% deaf. They came in handy for the nurses and doctors to communicate as I do NOT know sign language! The inpatient rehab tried to use a caption app but it fail miserably. It typed out if you wanna stop breathing just stop and I will eat you. That’s not what he said but he was explaining their policy should I stop breathing! So my mom handed him a boggie board to write on for me! I have used all different styles of Boogie Boards from the Jot Jot Pocket Blackboard Smart Scan Jot Writing tablet with Folio! I have a Jot in every room of my house so it’s readily available for people who visit me and communicate since I am now 100% deaf thanks to 2 brain surgeries and 1 involving the brain stem. My 5 siblings each have 1 boogie board at their house for when I come over so they have them in their drawers tucked away. Even my 4 nieces and nephews have asked their parents for their own to be able to draw on but also write to Auntie! So in my purse I carry a Jot Pocket and Jot Folio! I love the Jot with Folio. I love all boogie Board products but the Jot with Folio is by far my favorite! Why? Because it has a thicker cover that opens like a book. I just find it protects the Boogie Board better! The batteries have lasted 6 years in them before having to replace them. I love the fact that the batteries are replaceable so the Boogie Board last a long time! A SUGGESTION: I find it easier by doing this and the pen is never getting lost! *** I took 2 pieces of knitting string and made them long enough where the whole pen was able to go across the boogie board when someone writes! I then tied it to the pen holder and then the pen! Just to make sure it stay ties at both ends I simply took Gorilla Glue Super Glue the brush and brushed it on at the ends and a little up where the tie was. I did it twice let the first coat dry.
Wanted to love these. But at least for the colored ones the ink is too faint. The notes are hard to read. I have not tried the black ones yet. Hopefully they are better.
Great concept not so great implementation. Writing looks fuzzy and minimal contrast makes it very difficult to read. Unfortunately I don't see them being used.
I recently started learning to read and write Japanese and writing exercises can require a great amount of paper. The Jot™ allows me to conserve paper and it's extremely portable: I can take it to the library to study in quiet or to my workplace to sneak in a few exercises during lunch or if work is slow. Also the folio cover feature is a bit higher quality than I expected. When I don't need it for practice I can still use it for whatever else it can be useful for. I'm extremely impressed with how intuitively simple it is to use and it's even slimmer than I expected.
When I was looking for options for my kid's birthday return gift got a nice deal with boogie board and ordered it. The product is excellent in terms of quality and packaging. Kids enjoyed it a lot.
I am very pleased with the Pocket Jot but I wish there was a cover for it. If I write something on it and put it in my purse the writing gets all messed up.
Great size for slipping into backpacks. Portable and light for on-the-go use. Bought it for my 6 year old and her 9 and 12 year old brothers also wanted to use it :)
I am unable to speak and I have found this helpful but it is too easy to lose the stylus and the cost of shipping a new stylus is almost as much as the cost of a replacement. An improved design would find a way to attach the stylus to a chord so it could be more secure. Also if my hand touches the pad while writing the pad is marked too easily
I wanted to love these reusable notes and I thought they would be great for making notes and taking with or having in the car but the magnet is completely useless. I stuck the magnet in my car and the note does not stick it at all. It’s simply slides down.
I bought this while on a business trip. I came across it at WalMart. I used it to take note throughout the conference. It worked wonderfully. The only issue was it was hard to scan with the app. So I used my scanning app from my phone and it worked great. I save on having another pad or journal of notes. I can take the scans and email them to my laptop from my phone and have a forever digital copy of my notes. I love how easy this is and works.
